VISIT HUNGARIAN SPORT EVENTS

Besides culture,history, culinary sensations and active programs like biking and hiking Hungary is also hosting big sport events like the Red Bull Air Race and the Formula 1 Grand Prix. In 2017 is will host the Worldchampionship of Watersports, a unique event to set Budapest and Lake Balaton on the map of international watersport.

Red Bull Air Race Budapest

The packed field of talent in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship have eight chances to grab the glory. And with two new venues on the calendar, as much steel as ever will be needed as their precision-built 370kph-flying, 10G-crunching aircraft swoop and swerve through the pylons among some of the world’s most iconic cityscapes and race venues.

Budapest offers the almost unique setting of a race deep in the heart of an ancient capital city.

The iconic Chain Bridge in Budapest will once again feature in the Red Bull Air Race calendar, when the World Championship heads to the Hungarian capital for. As one of the most popular stops, Budapest always pulls in a monumental crowd to witness the racing action. In 2009, 650,000 spectators lined the banks of the Danube, and when the city earned a spot in the 2015 race season, fans returned in their thousands once again. For this season, it’ll be a summertime spectacle as the pilots head to Hungary on 16-17 July.

Formula 1 Grand Prix Hungary

The Hungarian Formula 1 Race , the race track Hungaroring hasbecome classical over the past years. It was built almost three decades ago as a rarity, the first one beyond the Iron Curtain, and now it is still special as the third behind Monte-Carlo and Monza to have continuously featured in the race calendar. The race track in Mogyorod is preparing for a great event this year, the 31th Hungarian Grand Prix, and for this occasion the staff at Hungaroring is planning special additional programmes for the spectators.

A great tradion will be prolonged. The Public Pitwalk on Thursday before the race days at Hungaroring. Everybody holding a valid Grand Prix Weekendticket will be able to attend on , July 21st from 16:00 to 19:00 o’clock.
